Bruno is an honors' graduate of St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology, Windsor, ON, with a Chemical Engineering Diploma, receiving the Dean's Award at graduating year of 1973.
Bruno was awarded his first position with Atomic Energy of Canada at Chalk River Nuclear Labs, his commitment to Research and Development, in conjunction with other professional team members, produced an official AECL publication. This publication is archived in AECl’s official records.
In 1976 Bruno was awarded a position with Ontario Hydro Nuclear to work as a Radiochemistry Technologist at BNPD. Portfolios at BNPD included the following:
- Radiochemistry Analyst
- Health Physics Technologist
- Safety Training Technologist
- Health Physics Instructor
- Radiation Protection Training Officer
- Retired in 2006 from Bruce Power. Subsequently awarded the position of Radiation Safety Training Officer for Bruce 1-2 Restart. This position initially was for 6 months, subsequently extended to 6 years- to completion of Bruce 1-2 Restart program.
Bruno’s Real Estate career began in 1979. While maintaining various positions with Ontario Hydro, OPG, and with Bruce Power, Bruno was successful in obtaining his Salesman and Brokerage licenses as per the Real Estate Council of Ontario mandates, governed by the Real Estate and Business Brokers Act.
The first Real Estate company that Bruno worked for as a Salesperson was Family Trust Corporation (FTC). Subsequently FTC was bought out by Johnson & Carney Real Estate Co., subsequently bought out by Royal Lepage-Kincardine Real Estate Co.
His career path led him to Century 21 for a number years, then converted to HIP Real Estate Co. (Hanks, Irwin & Poulton), then converted to HI Realty Company Inc. (Hanks & Irwin). then went for Palmer-McCreath Realty Co, who eventually moved to acquire a franchise as Royal Lepage-Exchange Realty Company.
In1986, Bruno established his own Brokerage as Labbate Real Estate Ltd. This company thrived with full time agents and administration staff working full time. As Broker of Record, Bruno administered quality control and supervision for the company’s success until 2001.
Over the years, more changes and amalgamations of Real Estate Companies came to pass. Making a prudent business decision Bruno joined Royal LePage Exchange Realty Co., in Kincardine, ON. Subsequently this company was taken over by another Broker of Record. Eventually taken over by another Broker of Record and operating as Royal LePage-Exchange Realty Co. Brokerage. Bruno enjoyed many years of success with this company, with award winning recognitions and enjoying working with a strong team of dedicated and professional agents. Bruno was very proud to have been part of these teams.
